Operating Room Manager

Provide quality nursing care, including patient and family teaching, utilizing the nursing process in a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to provide a positive outcome for the patient; Serve as a charge nurse within the Operating Room to ensure smooth scheduling and completion of cases; Oversights Central Processing to ensure that equipment is available, intact, and safe for patient use. EDUCATION: Graduate of a School of Nursing required. LICENSURE: Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse. EXPERIENCE: Previous nursing and supervisory experience preferred. Nursing Assistant Inpatient Unit

Part-time and Pool staff

Assists the nursing team with patient care under the direction of the Inpatient Director and registered nurses. -Maintains accountability and responsibility for patient care while under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. -Performs direct patient care including, but not limited to: vital signs, personal hygiene, ADLs, and monitoring oral intake and output. -Demonstrates knowledge of age specific and universal precaution practices while caring for patients. -Participates in patient teaching according to the patient’s plan of care. -Observes the condition of patients and reports significant changes in the patient’s physical, emotional and mental status to the appropriate persons on an ongoing basis. -Documents all activities and changes of the patient and gives a detailed report to the Registered Nurse at the end of shift/assignment. -Assists with patient transport and is willing to assist with and handle various pieces of medical equipment and supplies. -Assists in providing a safe environment and promotes quality patient care through adherence to established standards. -Responds appropriately in emergency patient situations. -Communicates in an effective, professional, and respectful manner with patients, families, physicians, coworkers, and other members of the health care team.

Director of Perioperative Services

Provide managerial direction for clinical care processes for Preoperative, OR and the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Provide quality nursing care, including patient and family teaching, utilizing the nursing process in a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to provide a positive outcome for the patient Graduate of School of Nursing required. Bachelors Degree in Nursing required and Masters Degree preferred. LICENSURE: Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years clinical experience required. Minimum of five years supervisory experience required. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must possess good oral and written communication skills, must be able to communicate with hospital contacts both on the telephone and directly, and effectively communicate with all age groups, populations, and individuals within the hospital. COMPUTER/TYPING SKILLS: Must become familiar with the hospital computer system. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and directs the activities of the Manager, OR/Central Processing, Perioperative Staff including OR, Pre-op and PACU. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required to perform frequent sitting, walking, and standing, lifting of objects up to 50 pounds, lifting and turning patients with/without assistance, kneeling, crouching, stooping and squatting, pushing and pulling patients with/without assistance, twisting of hand and wrist, reaching. Motor coordination and manual dexterity required. Ability to see and hear with or without mechanical devices. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature changes. May be exposed to: chemicals, hazardous waste, radiation sources/fumes, communicable diseases, blood and bloodborne pathogens, distasteful patient care activities. Wear protective clothing and/or equipment as determined by hospital policy. CONTINUING EDUCATION: Consistently seeks out continuing education activities relevant to practice areas. Attains initial and mandatory training as defined by hospital guidelines. Must have BLS certification within introductory period of employment.
